Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Manager

Location: Abuja (FCT) / Lagos / Kano

Reports To: Impact Program Manager
Salary: NGN 550,000 Monthly (Gross)


Job Overview

The Monitoring & Evaluation Manager will design, implement, and oversee the monitoring and evaluation frameworks for LifeBank’s programs and projects. This role involves leading data collection, analyzing project performance, and ensuring that insights are used effectively to improve program outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in M&E systems, data analysis, and program management, with a passion for using data to drive impactful decisions.


Key Responsibilities

As the Monitoring & Evaluation Manager, your responsibilities will include:

1. Develop and Implement M&E Frameworks

  • Create comprehensive M&E systems for tracking the performance and impact of all programs and projects.
  • Establish processes and protocols for data collection, management, and reporting.
  • Design tools and methodologies to assess program efficiency and effectiveness.

2. Data Collection and Analysis

  • Lead the development of data collection tools and analysis plans to ensure accurate and reliable data.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor program activities and verify data quality.
  • Analyze collected data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

3. Reporting and Feedback

  • Prepare high-quality reports that provide insights into program performance and impact.
  • Share findings with project teams and stakeholders to drive evidence-based decision-making.
  • Ensure that all M&E reports are submitted on time and meet organizational standards.

4. Program Improvement

  • Collaborate with project managers to identify bottlenecks in project implementation and recommend solutions.
  • Suggest strategies for improving program efficiency and effectiveness based on M&E findings.
  • Monitor the sustainability of project results and provide feedback for long-term planning.

5. Capacity Building

  • Train program and project staff on M&E processes, tools, and best practices.
  • Build the capacity of teams to use data effectively for program management and decision-making.

6. Representation and Advocacy

  • Represent LifeBank in external meetings and events related to monitoring and evaluation.
  • Advocate for the importance of data-driven decision-making within the organization and among stakeholders.

7. Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Ensure that all M&E activities comply with organizational policies and donor requirements.
  • Maintain the highest standards of data quality and integrity.

8. Other Duties

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Impact Program Manager.

Qualifications and Requirements

LifeBank is looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual who meets the following qualifications:

Criteria Details
Educational Background Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Statistics, Public Health, or related fields. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Work Experience 4–5 years of experience in M&E roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
Technical Skills Proficiency in statistical software and data visualization tools (e.g., SPSS, STATA, Power BI).
Other Skills Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently.
Travel Requirements Willingness to travel frequently, especially within Northern Nigeria.
