Dangote Refinery Announces Petrol Price Reduction for Festive Season
Dangote Refinery Slashes Petrol Price to N899.50 per Litre.
Dangote Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) to N899.50 per litre, offering relief to Nigerians as the festive season approaches.
This announcement was made through a statement by Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer of Dangote Group, on Thursday.
The refinery, which is Africa’s first privately-owned oil refining facility, had earlier reduced the petrol price to N970 per litre on November 24. The latest cut is aimed at easing transportation costs during the holiday period, a time when many Nigerians face increased travel expenses.
As part of the holiday offer, Chiejina revealed an innovative purchase option. Consumers can now buy an additional litre of fuel on credit for every litre purchased in cash, provided they secure a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.
“To alleviate transport costs during this holiday season, Dangote Refinery is offering a holiday discount on PMS. From today, our petrol will be available at N899.50 per litre at our truck loading gantry or SPM,” Chiejina stated.
He added, “For every litre purchased on a cash basis, consumers will have the opportunity to buy another litre on credit, backed by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.”
The refinery expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their continued support and assured them of its commitment to providing high-quality, environmentally friendly petroleum products at competitive prices.
Chiejina also highlighted that Dangote Refinery is leading the way in reducing Nigeria’s dependence on substandard imported petroleum products, which have negatively impacted human health, machinery, and the environment.
