In a brazen attack early Monday morning, over 30 suspected bandits stormed the Chikakore area of Kubwa in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), abducting five individuals, including a man, his wife, son, and two others.
The armed assailants, wielding AK-47 rifles, reportedly struck at about 12:00 am, targeting the residence of one Adefija Michael Akinropo. The victims, including Akinropo’s wife, son, and elder brother, were taken away in the chilling incident.

Attack Extends to Poultry Farm
The attackers also raided another building housing a poultry farm, where they kidnapped a man and inflicted injuries on his wife. The level of violence has heightened concerns over security in the nation’s capital.
Authorities Yet to Respond
As of the time of this report, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, had not issued a statement regarding the incident. Residents in the area are calling for immediate intervention to address the rising threat of banditry in Abuja.
