According to the farmer, he had arrived at his farmland when he saw an unusual heap among the regular ridges. His curiosity prompted him to seek help from nearby motorcyclists to dig up the mound. What they uncovered was a piece of wrapper buried in the soil, raising his suspicion further.
“I immediately informed the police at a nearby checkpoint, who came and dug further, only to discover a baby girl, miraculously alive and crying, shrouded in a piece of textile,” Kamba said.

Farmer Seeks Custody Out of Compassion
Kamba disclosed that he took custody of the baby girl purely on humanitarian grounds. The Dandi Local Government Council reportedly granted him temporary custody pending the outcome of ongoing police investigations.
“In such situations, it is only normal to help,” he said.
“I didn’t expect anything in return; it’s simply a humanitarian act. Coincidentally, my wife had just given birth, so breastfeeding the baby has not been a challenge.”

“I felt perfectly fine and happy when my husband told me. I will take care of her just the way I will do to my own,” she said.
