Role Overview
As a Checker, you will ensure accurate, safe and efficient loading, unloading and stacking of materials, while upholding our health & safety, quality and customer-service standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fleet & Equipment Management
- Conduct pre-shift forklift inspections using the official checklist.
- Maintain optimal fuel, fluid levels and mechanical condition of forklifts and double-handlers.
2. Health, Safety & Housekeeping
- Comply with Department of Labour stacking exemptions and site housekeeping standards.
- Wear and enforce use of all designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
3. Stock & Quality Control
- Apply First-In, First-Out (FIFO) principles to manage stock age.
- Verify packaging integrity on the warehouse floor and before loading.
- Update shipment status, load summaries and variance reports in SAP.
4. Loading, Unloading & Documentation
- Accurately check, load and unload split and full pallets.
- Record returns and daily stock counts via handheld device.
- Participate in shift handovers, ensuring all documentation is complete.
- Coordinate with the Logistics Coordinator and Inventory Manager for seamless operations.

Minimum Qualifications
- OND in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field
- Valid forklift driver’s license; double-handler experience advantageous
- Computer literate; SAP proficiency preferred
