Abuja, FCT – Commander Bibi Oduku, Commandant General of the Riverine Security (Coast Guard of the Federation), has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to carefully consider the suspension of the Rivers State Governor due to heightened tensions and security threats in the Niger Delta region. These threats pose a significant risk to the nation’s economy.

According to Commander Oduku, militant groups are planning attacks on federal government properties across Niger Delta states, while miscreants may exploit the situation to engage in criminal activities. Such developments could lead to the loss of lives among innocent citizens and military personnel deployed for peacekeeping.
