The Nigeria Police Force has announced the extension of the deadline for the enforcement of the Tinted Glass Permit requirement to August 12, 2025, following widespread public concerns about the reactivation of the digital application system.
TJ News Nigeria learnt that the extension became necessary to accommodate further adjustments to the permit application process, ensuring that Nigerians can apply without facing undue difficulties.
This was disclosed in a statement on Saturday, June 14, 2025, by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed that the decision was taken in response to feedback from citizens across the country.

“The extension of enforcement is intended to give room for additional enhancements and refinements to the application process, ensuring that no member of the public is unduly disadvantaged,” the statement read.
