Recruitment Process Yet to Commence

While the recruitment approval has been secured, TJ News Nigeria reports that the actual recruitment process has not yet commenced. The CDCFIB explained that the Board is currently seeking a waiver to reduce the standard six-week recruitment advertisement period to three weeks to expedite the recruitment exercise.

Once the necessary approval is obtained, the official recruitment announcement will be made via national newspapers and verified official websites. Nigerians have been strongly advised to disregard unverified recruitment advertisements, especially those circulated through random websites, blogs, or social media platforms.

Warning Against Recruitment Scams

The CDCFIB has also issued a stern warning to the public to beware of fraudsters who may exploit the recruitment announcement to defraud unsuspecting applicants. The Board emphasized that:

  • No payment is required at any stage of the application process.

  • All official announcements will be made on recognized media platforms.

  • Personal data should only be submitted via authorized portals.

“Applicants must exercise caution and avoid unofficial websites or agents. The recruitment process will be conducted in a transparent manner, and under no circumstances will applicants be required to pay for forms or placement,” the Board said in its official communication.

Why the Recruitment Matters

The mass recruitment drive is part of President Tinubu’s broader effort to tackle Nigeria’s pressing unemployment challenges while also boosting the capacity of paramilitary agencies responsible for border control, firefighting, correctional services, and internal security.

With insecurity remaining a major concern across various regions, the injection of thousands of new personnel into these critical services is expected to support national security objectives.
