The University of Nigeria (UNN), located in Nsukka, Enugu State, in the southeastern region of Nigeria, is a federal institution of higher learning. Senior Lecturer

B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. in relevant field.
At least 5 years of teaching and research experience.
Industrial experience and scholarly publications are an advantage.
Must satisfy Yellow Book requirements.

Lecturer I

Possess postgraduate degree (preferably Ph.D.).
At least 3 years’ teaching/research experience.
Scholarly publications will be an added advantage.
Meet Yellow Book conditions.

Lecturer II

Possess postgraduate degree (preferably Ph.D., MFA, etc).
Must meet other Yellow Book provisions.
Special cases (e.g., Architecture) require M.Sc. + ARCON/NIA registration and active Ph.D. enrollment.

Assistant Lecturer

Must hold a Master’s degree in the relevant field.
NYSC discharge certificate required.
Specific fields (e.g., Pharmacy, Library Science) may require professional certification.

NON-TEACHING POSITIONS

1. Senior Nursing Officer – CONHESS 09

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in Nursing, and must be a Registered Nurse (RN) and Registered Midwife (RM). Appointment is for Post-Intern Nurses with at least six (6) years post-qualification cognate experience.

2. Nurse Tutor – CONTISS 8

Candidates should possess a B.Sc. and the N.R.N. and N.R.M. or, in the case of males, the N.R.N., plus any of the following qualifications:

Nursing Teachers’ Certificate of Royal College of Nursing.
Sister Tutors’ Certificate of the King’s College of Household and Social Sciences.
Sister Tutors’ Certificate of the Battersea Polytechnic.
Sister Tutors’ Diploma of the Queen’s College, London.
Midwifery Tutor’s Diploma of the Royal College of Midwives.
Diploma in Nursing Education (College of Nursing, Australia/New Zealand).
Certificate of International Course for Teachers of Nursing (Royal College of Nursing, London).

3. Administrative Officer I – CONTISS 8

Good honours degree (minimum 2nd Class Lower) plus at least three (3) years post-qualification cognate experience in university administration.

4. Computer/Network Engineer I – CONTISS 8

Honours degree in Computer Science or related field with at least two (2) years post-qualification experience. A recognized professional certificate is an added advantage.

5. Programme System Analyst I – CONTISS 8

Honours degree in Computer Science or related field with a minimum of two (2) years post-qualification experience. Possession of a professional certificate is an advantage.

6. Medical Laboratory Scientist – CONTISS 07

Degree or HND in a relevant field plus Associate Membership of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Nigeria (AIMLT).

7. Senior Health Superintendent – CONTISS 7

HND or a good honours degree in a relevant field, with NYSC Discharge/Exemption/Exclusion Certificate.

8. Engineer II – CONTISS 7

Degree in Engineering or equivalent, registerable with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
